The Chop Goes to the Great Lakes
It’s too goddamn hot. We’re going to spend the rest of the Summer on the Great Lakes. Smell you later, Baltimore.
We’ll be chilling in the Great White North for the next 60 days. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, maybe Canadia. Have fun with your scapefests and your derechos and your leaky water pipes.
This blog will resume posting daily in September. In the meantime, enjoy some pictures of Mackinac Island, Michigan.

Travel tips from a former Michigander:
Ask for pop instead of soda. Learn to pronounce it like: paaap.
Learn to pronounce water like waaater (not wuder).
Enjoy the fresh caught whitefish and be sure to try the local wines!
Don’t believe anyone that claims to make Maryland-style crab cakes.
If you stop in Traverse City, go to Taco House (mandatory).
-Ft. Mackinaw. 1st battle in the War of 1812.
-M-185 (on Mackinac Is)is the only state hwy in America that’s never had an auto accident on it.
-Fuggin’ fudge.
Enjoy your time out.
What the heck do you do for a living? I want your life.
